I’m trying to upgrade my laptop without having to buy a new one 

So I was wondering 

is the cpu of the Hp 250 G7 notebook upgradeable

Hi:

 

The processor your notebook has is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded unless you replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with a better processor.

I would imagine the costs of doing such an upgrade would greatly outweigh the benefits.

You're very welcome.

 

You can upgrade the memory and change the 2.5" hard drive to a 2.5" solid state drive.

 

Your notebook may have a M.2 slot and if it does, you can install a M.2 SSD.

 

See Chapter 1 of the manual for the memory upgrade info.
