Is the hp SSD wear check something new to UEFI 10.3.0.0 version? Becausei have ran many UEFI hardware diagnostic system tests and never seen this "SSD/HDD Wear Check" it says my ssd has 5% wear and a remaining lifetime of 95% now I've owned it for close to 5 years. But never seen it tell me there was wear. So is it showing me the wear because now there is wear all of the sudden or is it new to UEFI, and if it isn't new then why has it never shown me wear before now?

Apparently HP has only recently added it to make it visible to laptop owners.
5% wear on an SSD is a good number.
The feature that shows wear has been around as long as there have been S.M.A.R.T. laptop HDD and SSD products.
S.M.A.R.T. diagnostic reporting is a feature of the drive itself.
It was previously only visible when using the manufacturers diagnostic utility.
I have been using the Samsung Magician app and OCZ Technology's app to see the condition of my HDD and SSD products for fifteen years or more.
The apps use the S.M.A.R.T reporting capabilities of the storage devices to produce the wear percentage..
Now you know.
