I am looking for a 15-bs series laptop with a 1tb HDD and 128 SSD (or at least a laptop that comes with two hard drive bays so I can upgrade), a DVD drive, 8gb Ram and a glossy screen. No discrete GPU. I have looked on HP website, Best Buy, Amazon and Walmart, but there doesn't seem to be a laptop with both HDD and SSD that has a DVD drive. Can someone specify a model if there's any?

The best method for you to find one is to utilize the HP online store's CTO (configure to order) system.

 

What you want is a custom model, rather than a mainstream model. 15-bs models are mainstream. Take a look at the Envy and Spectre models.

I'm actually looking at the 15-bs series because of the cost. I found 15-bs113dx which has everything I need except for the SSD. Is there a second slot for the SSD in this laptop?

We used to have access to a tool that let us look at PCs and notebooks, but that has been removed.  So my answer is maybe.  Most mainstream notebooks do not have that level of upgrade level option. It would depend on the platform you choose. Check the options before you buy.

 

You could replace the delivered hard disk with a SATA-3 SSD and get a boost in performance that way. YoUr chances of upgrade possibilities increase when you jump to a 17" notebook at the top of the mainstream category. 

 

The problem is that the system boards at the mainstream level sometimes even come with the M.2 slot not installed and just the solder bits on the board are showing.
