I'm having a HP Pavilion - 15-cc130tx laptop which shows CMOS Checksum error during the power on.
Error: The CMOS checksum is invalid. The CMOS will be reset to the default configuration and will be rebooted. Please check your BIOS setup options to see if they change.
CMOS Reset (502)
If the power adapter is plugged in, then the laptop is booting up and working but as soon as the power adapter is unplugged, laptop shuts down.
My question is that whether the CMOS battery required to be changed? If so what is the CMOS battery type?
Note: from the support document of the HP Pavilion - 15-cc130tx, I did not find any CMOS battery details.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi:
Your notebook does not have a CMOS/RTC battery.
The main battery maintains the BIOS, date and time settings.
Below is the link to the service manual.
Chapter 3 has the list of parts.
You will not find a CMOS/RTC battery part number.
Chapter 5 has the removal and replacement procedures.
You will not find a procedure to remove or replace a CMOS/RTC battery.
