hp-15da1013ne

I want to upgrade add an SSD to my hp-15da1013ne laptop. But, I'm not sure if there is a M.2 slot on it. Also do I need to know anything about support for various types of SSDs?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, it has M2 slot and you should get an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD as it will be much faster than any SATA drive. Even the cheaper ones such as the Crucial P5. Naturally, the Samsung 970 Evo Plus or Adata sx8200 would be great.

The ones mentioned by @Paul_Tikkanen in the linked service manual are the ones the PC could have been bought with.

However, you can buy from your preferred brand and there is no limit to the capacity.

You will need to transfer the OS to the SSD for the amazing performance gain.

Hope it helps,

David
