I wanted to remove my 2x4 gb ram module to replace it by 2x8gb, and need to know if i'm limited in terms of certain Ram Manufacturer like; Crucial, Samsung, Corsair and others... Can i buy Ram from any manufacturer as long it's the same type?

I followed official specs. Anyway, what is current RAM now ? HP uses RAM from few suppliers therefore you can use compatible RAM. RAM on my machine is an example. You can use because it works.
Regards.

From its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06353805
It already has 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB). You simply add a same one to slot 2 or upgrade to 32GB as shown on my Omen 15-dc machine (with 32GB pre-installed)
Regards.

There actually is 2x4gb of ram,
The screenshot is from Hwinfo64
So to have 16gb I need to remove both and put 2x8gb or a single 16gb and then my question comes back, do i need to buy Ram from Samsung only or from anyone as long as it's the same two Modules?
