We usually purchase the ZBook 15u G6 for production. As of lately, the 15u G6 with the configuration we want are all on back-order. I've also heard from our vendor that the 15u G6 is discontinued. We are in search of an alternative replacement. In our search, we were recommended to go with the new HP ZBook Firefly 15 G7 but it does not meet our specifications. The 15 G7 is not an ultrabook and it does not support the ultraslim docking stations (PN D9Y32UT#ABA).
1. Has HP discontinued making laptops that support the ultraslim docking stations?
2. Is there a Zbook alternative that is an ultrabook and support the ultraslim docking stations?

The answers are "maybe" and "we cannot answer the question".
HP does not keep us (the Community) apprised of changes / support options ahead of time.
We use the same tools available to you to check for docking station compatibility for new / existing products.
Your best option is to speak with a sales representative.
