Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

i understand the steps to get the battery report. my windows version is ver 6.1.7601. this was given to me and it was powerwash and the battery is not being detected. put in new ones same thing. then i was able to get to detect but it said failed and needs replacement. then i got it to the calibrating. but when i put in the

ac power adapter it did not detect the battery again. then when i did your steps to get the report: it came up as this:

c:\windows\system32>powercfg/batteryreport

invalid parameters -- try "/?" for help

then i typed in battery-report.html

'battery-report.html' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

what can i do? it will still work with the adapter but would like to use the new battery.

thanks

Powerwash is for Chromebooks, not Windows laptops or PCs.

Did you mean reset or reinstalled the Windows OS instead?

You made an error when you typed in "c:\windows\system32>powercfg/batteryreport".

There has to be a space between the powercfg and /batteryreport.

This is the proper command powercfg /batteryreport

Try again.
