Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It appears that the zbook 1st generation (product # D5D93AV) is compatible with invidia quadro K5100M .

I just need to double check because I just bought the K5100M on Amazon and the seller did think they were compatible.

I think things will go smoothly. I'll at least have an upgrade. But not fully convinced that the K5100M will satisfy Adobe.

Hopefully it will.

An 8 year old multi-thousand workstation. I just didn't think it would be outdated so quickly. I guess 8 years is a VERY long time for PC's.

K5100M was one of the options from the factory.

K5100M does use a different heatsink than the other video card options:

So, that is the HP spare part number I need to order for the heat sink?

Thx guys for the quick response!

Hopefully that's it right. New card and heat sink. Anything else?

Fairly new at taking apart laptops but found a youtube video for this upgrade.

Do you have a video card in there now that you are upgrading or are you adding an MXM video card for the first time? There are BIOS settings you need to consider before you fire it up for the first time with the MXM card installed.

Ahhh man. You guys are good!

It would have taken me hours to find this information.
