HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c0000 (2W0J6AV)

I have purchased the laptop from USA and it carries international warranty. Right now I am in India. I am facing issues with the power button on my laptop. It is not working. I have submitted by laptop to HP service center in India. They have told that the top cover has to be changed but the part is not available in India. They are not helping me in any manner. Please arrange the part in India. Case ID- [Personal Information Removed]

Well, you actually have to send your machine back to the US when part(s) is/are not available in your country now because HP Global Warranty covers HP products at the level of standard warranty offered in the country in which it is used. For example, a product purchased in country "A" and moved to country "B" receives the current warranty coverage provided by country "B" (if that product is marketed or supported in country B).

When you use such kind of words like Global warranty then it creates picture in the customer's mind that be it anywhere his product is always serviceable. When you make use of the word global then it refers to every part of the globe be it antarctica or the arctic, every region is covered. Now if we consider the standard warranty of the product then under standard warranty if the product is not serviceable due to any reason, even in the country of purchase, then what happens. Either the part has to be replaced or if the part is not available then the complete product has to be replaced by the same product or any equivalent product that is available. So when you say standard warranty in another country under the GLOBAL Warranty program then in standard warranty the product should be serviceable in every country and part should be made available in other country too and if you are not able to repair the product or replace the part then the complete product has to be replaced with another product of equal specifications.

We you say GLOBAL warranty then that word has to be kept. When you say global the it has to be global. What you have mentioned shows unreasonable use of the GLOBAL term. Your warranty is of no use then. This is false marketing. You advertise it as global and then afterwards you provide sub terms in it which makes the whole program worthless. This is completely fraud.
