keyboard F7 is not working, but it automatically presses the key.
Shift + x is not working, but both shift and x work, I can't just make it capital letter.
Sometime ~ will be pressed and it keeps on pressing it, without pressing the shift key. Both shift and ~ works fine.
Everything was working fine a few days ago. What should I do?
What is the keyboard mapping for f7 so that I can disable the key manually?

See if the part fails during diagnostics:
Tap the ESC key after powering on. Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics. If a component fails during the UEFI test then Click here to check warranty and Click here for world-wide contact info |
If the device or part is not listed in diagnostics then update the diagnostics.
HP releases newer UEFI diagnostics periodically. When you select F2 during boot you are requesting UEFI diagnostics. There is an updated diagnostics package Click Here Look for the phrase 'issues outside the OS', Expand the'+'symbol and click the DOWNLOAD button. |
If the device is no longer in warranty then go to the below site, enter your serial number, and locate the part you need to replace.
https://partsurfer.hp.com
For example, if you need a keyboard then use the HP part number to look the part here, or simply search for the part using your browser. Alternately, if only a few keys need to be replaced then just do a key replacement.
Laptop keys can be replaced. Some models are more difficult than others. Usually it is easier to replace a key or two than the keyboard.
There are a number of companies
https://www.laptop-keys.com/
https://www.google.com/search?q=ebay+replace+key+on+hp+laptop
https://www.laptopkeyreplacements.com/brands/hp.html
https://laptopkey.com/hp
This site has videos. For example:

If the bad keys work during diagnostics then a problem with windows drivers or you may have accidently locked out the function keys.
Let me know what you find out.

I am running fedora. Is there any way that I'll be able to use HP Diagnostics?
Unless I am mistaken, the UEFI diagnostics are in a partition named "HP Tools".
When you installed Fedora you probably overwrote all the petitions so the UEFI tools probably doesn't work.
You can use another windows system to download the uefi diagnostics and create a usb flash boot drive. You should be able to boot the flash drive and run diagnostics from it. If you do create a usb flash please let me know if it worked or not.

I was able to open UEFI tool but there were options only for Hard drive and Memory test.
I'm not sure if I will be able test using windows, but I let me see I'll try installing it via VM.
I have tested using external keyboard and everything works fine.
Is there any way I can manually disable the f7 key?

I would look at one of those videos at that laptop key place. See if you can pop off the key cap and if you can then make the F7 work by pressing down on the sensor pad under the key.
If Windows works with an external keyboard then your keyboard F7 is a hardware problem and needs to be replaced.
