Hi everyone,

I have an HP USB-C G5 Essential Docking Station (72C71AA) and an HP ProBook 450 G9 Notebook (9M3Q7AT). Everything works well, but I'm having an issue with the power button on the docking station. It doesn't turn on or wake up the laptop at all. The button just stays lit, even when the laptop is asleep.

I expected that since both devices are from HP, they would work together seamlessly. I've updated the firmware on the dock, the laptop is fully updated, and the BIOS is also on the latest version. Do I need to configure something somewhere? Can anyone advise me on this?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like they are not compatible. Please check a list on page 26 of the following manual. HP USB-C G5 dock is NOT on the list
