Hello!

I have an HP Pavilion gaming laptop 15-cx0028nm. Inside is a 250 GB M.2 SSD.

Would it be possible to attach an additional SSD or HDD disk under JHDD1 port, since there is enough space below?

What kind of cable would I need?

What kind of hard drive bracket would I need?

As per the Service Guide, your Notebook can support the following Hard drives

IMPORTANT: The M.2 connector that supports a solid-state drive can also support an Optane memory module. You cannot simultaneously install both an Optane memory module and a solid-state drive in the computer.

You can refer to page 45 - 47 in the Service Guide

Thank you for your help.

So it is only possible to have M.2  and HDD together?

M.2 and SSD SATA 3 is not an option?

HP Recommended

The 2.5 inch bay will support either a mechanical HDD or 2.5 inch SSD in addition to an M.2 SSD.
