Loving my new HP Victus so far; it's beautiful. Blue finish, the chrome V on the cover, and the rear exhaust. However, it came with one issue that, if I can't solve it, will lead to the return of this device. I was playing warthunder, and tried to pitch up by pressing S (while looking around with camera by holding down C) and rolling right by pressing D. It works, except when you press S, then A, then let go of A and press D whole holding down S and C. Yes, I've tried rebinding but it seems like 3 keys is the limit, especially when switching to a different key while holding one down. I'd expect a gaming laptop to be able to press 3 or more keys at a time. Is there a fix for this? I've looked all over Google and so far no fixes; reinstalling and resetting all kinds of stuff doesn't work. Most of the answer are from older forums, however, so I'm hoping someone here has a fix. Please help, I really like this laptop it's so great except for that one issue which is a deal breaker.

Hi @harotpa,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing keyboard ghosting or key rollover issues. These occur when certain combinations of keys are pressed simultaneously and not all of them register. This is a common problem in keyboards, especially in gaming laptops where users may need to press multiple keys at once for complex commands.
Here are a few things you can try to mitigate the issue:
- Check Keyboard Settings: Sometimes, the keyboard settings in the operating system or specific game settings can affect key response. Ensure that any keyboard-related settings are optimized for gaming or set to default.
- Update Drivers: Ensure that all your drivers, especially the keyboard driver, are up to date. Manufacturers often release driver updates to improve performance and address issues like this.
- Gaming Mode or Hotkey Software: Many gaming laptops come with software utilities that allow you to customize keyboard behavior. Check if your laptop has such software installed, and if so, see if there are any settings related to key response or gaming mode that might help.
- BIOS Settings: Some laptops have BIOS settings that can affect keyboard behavior. Check your BIOS settings to see if there are any options related to keyboard response or key rollover.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
