I purchsed the same laptop from Best Buy. About four months later, one of rubber strips came off. I went to Best Buy and  a technician glued the rubber strip. Two days later, the strip peeled off again. I tried many times to contact HP service people but could not reach out anybody who can help. Very frustrated and disappointed!

Starting to happen to my new laptop as well. But only one of them is just starting to peel off - it hasn't completely. Is there a glue/material of some kind that I can use to just glue it back on - only a little is coming off.

Its an issue with the adhesive they have used. It seems to perish with heat. Plain rubber feet would not have been a problem. The thin strip of rubber is another challenge altogether. I'm looking for a good adhesive that will serve this need. Don't want to use superglue. Probably some screws under the rubber strip that we'd need to get to for servicing at which time a permanent glue would be a problem. I'm going to look into it myself. Need to find the right needle (glue!) in this hackstack 🙂

I am having the same problem with my HP envy x360 13", this is a terrible design flaw with subpar materials. Hp should be mailing these pieces out to make it's customers happy. Bad battery life and parts falling off isn't a great customer experience in my opinion!

I just got on the HP online chat.  Explained that my rubber strips fell off.  The are mailing me replacemnts.  Mine is only 6 months old.  It really dissapointing to see that this is an ongoing problem and they haven't found a way to improve the product.

I go on HP Chat and told them both of mine had completely fallen off.  They are mailing me new strips.
