HP ZBook 15 Base Model Mobile Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Please help me. I got a ZBook15 model. Originally it was G2, I see it on the labels (and also have an I7 4810MQ cpu, 16Gb ram, and K2100M gpu).

The previous owner told me that it had a motherboard issue in the past, and the motherboard has changed.

At the moment, it have a G1 motherboard (with bios 01.47 Rev.A)

Everything goes fine, but I just recognized, that K2100M have only 1Gb of ram? I checked in windows, GPU-Z, Nvidia system info, etc..., always the same result.

I read a lots of posts, but every time I read this card have a 2Gb of ram.

Is Nvidia made this card with 1Gb of ram as well? Or may I have another issue, why am I (my laptop) see only 1Gb?

Thank you for your answer in advance!

@SixTie

Who knows, you have to ask previous owner because it came with a G1 motherboard.

Reviewers said "The K2100M usually comes with 2 GB GDDR5 VRAM clocked at 750 MHz (3000 MHz effective, 48.0 GB/s)." that means it can come with 1GB

Regards.

Thank you for your reply!

Have another (may be stupid)question. When I serch on ebay for the same vga with 2 Gb of ram, I found it for Dell, and another for Hp . The Dell one could work on my laptop without any modification (eg vga bios update), just "plug n play", or not?

Thank you in advance!
