Several months ago, I replaced the HDD in my laptop with a SSD. It seemed to be working, with some improvement to system startup time, but recently it started crashing occasionally, displaying the message "KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR (spaceport.sys)". I ran "chkdsk /scan", but no errors were detected. Searching the forum for this error (which seems to be quite common), I found one post suggesting you download the diagnostics tool "sp144583.exe", so I downloaded it and ran it "as administrator". but it just exited after copying a bunch of sub-directories and files to "C:\SWSetup". The command box closed too quickly for me to read the messages that came up, so I don't know what the problem was, but it didn't seem to do anything after copying the files.

Does anyone know why the diagnostics tool didn't run? Any suggestions?

Thanks.
