My keyboard stopped working in my notebook recently.  I tried all the diagnostics recommended by the HP Support Assistant.  The keyboard works if I boot to bios.  once I get into windows it stops.  I tried uninstalling all the keyboards from device manager.  This did not work either.  Wondering if I have to do a clean install of windows.  This all started pretty close to a windows update.  I am not sure if that was definitely responsible.   Any suggestions?

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please disable the Filter key and check if that helps

  1. Open the Control Panel and change the view to Large icons, and then click Ease of Access Center.

    ease-of-access-center

  2. Scroll down to the Explore all settings section, then click Make the keyboard easier to use.

    make-keyboard-easier-to-use

  3. In the window that shows up, uncheck the boxes for  “Turn on Filter Keys” to turn off Filter Keys features.

    disable-sticky-filter-keys

Let me know how it goes

Thank you and have a great day 😊

@KrazyToad,

Thank you but that did not work.  I did it exactly the way you listed.
