I am using my new HP Envy x360 as my primary computer at my home office desk. I use it mostly at my desk and use it as a portable laptop only on rare occasions. I am wondering if I should leave the computer plugged in to house power all the time while it is in it's primary location at my desk? This will keep the battery fully charged at all times an I am wondering if that is bad for the battery? Would an alternative practice of keeping the computer unplugged from house power all the time and then plugging it in only when the battery gets low be a better practice? Appreciate any guidance. Thanks.

Hi:
You can leave it plugged in most of the time, but once in a while (like once a month), you should unplug the notebook and run it off the battery until the low battery notification comes on. Then you can connect it back up to the A/C power.
I personally do your last suggestion...I never have the notebook plugged in and only connect the charger when the low battery notification comes on. Then I fully charge it and unplug it.
The reason you don't want to leave the notebook plugged in 100% of the time is because of the potential for battery swelling.
