Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Well, I didn't quite expect to be posting again but I've now run into a bit of a hardware issue (hope this is the appropriate place to post.)  Please note: I do have warranty!

To make a long story short, my pet bird pulled up the f6 key on my HP Pavilion x360 Convertible keyboard, and while trying to put it back, in (nothing WAS broken, it just wasn't snapping back in) unfortunately on the actual key I broke one of what I suppose I could call the holder? Wherever the key retainer is supposed to pop in, one of the little plastic prongs snapped! (Sorry I can't give the proper terminology!)

I'm curious if there is any way to have the key snap in with just 3 out of the 4 plastic prongs with the retainer? If not is it possible to find a replacement key anywhere or should I just go through warranty and if so, is it more likely I'll end up with a new laptop entirely from them, or will the keyboard as a whole have to be replaced? The actual key works fine if you press the rubber cap, it's just a personal preference for me.

Hi Bartell,

If the key is broke and it is a hardware issue. In regard to that the local support are the best people to ask for this specific issue.

Kind Regards,
