Hello Community!

After a recent update, my keyboard backlight is completely gone from function. I am not sure which update did it, since there were several updates in close proximity, but I know it is not broken, since it comes on when I run a Linux USB on it. So far as I have been able to tell, everything else still works.

Here's what I've tried:

Uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Keyboard driver for this device (as well as nine other HP keyboard drivers and the Windows default drivers, cause why not try just in case)

Updating Windows (everything is up to date, including the BIOS.

Reset the BIOS settings to default.

And reinstalled Windows. (Not a hard reinstall, but did it from a boot drive with the latest Windows image.)

I'm fresh out of ideas. Any help in hunting the issue down would be great. I don't need the backlight often, but when you need it you need it. 🙂
