HP Pavilion 15-p051us
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I need to replace the keyboard ONLY for my HP Pavilion 15-p051us. Model G6R09UA#ABA. The part number on the ribbon cable is 9Z.N9HSQ.701 US, but I realise that this number is for the entire wrist and touchpad assembly which I do not want. I just need a compatible keyboard from Amazon.......The part number however is causing issues.

Ribbon Cable numbers are as follows:

DFEAEY14UOO410426N7TZ

Darfon P/N: 9Z.N9HSQ.701 US

Version: US        Rev 3A

CT: BEFVK3AM26VUTZ

Just need a cheap generic keyboard that works......Thanks you all.

Sorry, no such part called keyboard only. You have to buy the WHOLE top using the following parts list

Thank you for responding, however I have to disagree with your solution. I have seen many repairs done on youtube for this particular laptop using a generic keyboard ONLY. Yes, I have tried contacting the people who post on you tube but the videos are over two years old and so far I have not had a reply............the repair includes some experience because the keybaord is attaced with plastic welds........this is not a problem for me, I just want a suitable generic replacement for the keyboard ONLY.

All I tell you: You CAN'T find part for keyboard alone. If you could buy a keyboard alone elsewhere then go ahead. That's all. I don't agree with the way HP put the WHOLE top together too, may be the design can stop water/dust come inside machines.

Regards.

Purchasing the whole assembly was what I thought as well, until I did some google searches and watched a few videos on Youtube. The way this laptop was assembled is a challenge to those who are inexperiened and I fully understand this. However, I can do it.

For example, here is a link to the part on EBAY

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Laptop-keyboard-For-HP-Pavilion-15-p051us-15-p066us-15-p099nr-15-p-Notebook...

However, I am not able to purchase from Ebay as they need a PayPal account which I don't have.......don't want.

But, thank you for taking the time to add your input.

I recently found the keyboard on Amazon.com for $19.21 and replaced the one in my HP pavilion 15-p051us and it works flawlessly.

The link for the key board is here:

https://www.amazon.com/15-p050nr-15-p051us-15-p051xx-15-p064us-15-p066us/dp/B07H76Z259

I must caution however that that replaceing the keyboard is quite fiddly and will require some skills, experiance and the right tools. I therefore would not recommend attempting this repair if you don't have the skills.

Here is a link to a Youtube video showing the steps in detail  (note that the model number is different but it's construction is the same)

Saved another one from the landfill:generic:
