Some specific keys of my laptop in the top row is not working by pressing the key. I need to press it multiple times to work. Some times it will not work and I use onscreen keyboard.

I did the followings but still have the problem:

  1. Updated the BIOS to latest version (QBL_A18) available on the manufacture's server <dell.com> .
  2. Reinstalled/refreshed/rescanned the Keyboard driver.
  3. Restarted the system.
  4. Updated the windows (8.1 Enterprise).
  5. Plug/unplug the Keyboard and checked the wires and plugs.

You can also clean the computer or consider replacing it with a new keyboard.

@mq5

You said you unplugged the keyboard.  So, is this a desktop? Asking because you posted this in the Laptop section.

It's helpful to post the model number of the PC -- as we need that information.
