from 2 weeks ago I have problems with my HP Laptop, Keyboard and TouchPad doesn't work.
I usually work with external Keyboard and Mouse, and I foun the problems only couple of days ago.
at the moment I have 2 conflict in the Driver in particular: ELAN EzTouchFilter and Synaptics SMBus TouchPad
I try to Update river from windows, from auto serch, and from HP web site, download the last version of driver and install.
Unfortunatelly no difference, they will continue to not work.
If I go in Setting-Device-Mouse, I can see only the external USB mouse, the TouchPad is not visible.
I try the "Cold Reboot", disconnect the battery and reboot the system, update the Driver, recognize new driver but not installed by error during installation.
I try to install HP Support Assistant but find the last Driver already installed.
I have no other idea how to fix the problem of keyboard and TouchPad.
Someonecan tell me other solution....?
Thanks

Did you recently update from an earlier OS?
Install the HP EzTouchFilter driver softpaq for Windows 10.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71001-71500/sp71345.exe
Once that is done, you should be able to install the latest HP Synaptics Touchpad driver for Windows 10. It provides a driver for the Keyboard, mouse and other input devices.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp77501-78000/sp77793.exe
You have not given any description of a keyboard issue, yet you mentioned it.
Which keyboard and what is the issue?

OK.
Use the usb keyboard and mouse to invoke Windows Update. There should be drivers there for both items.
Another thing to try is the following. Invoke the Device Manager.
Do the following for the two devices that we have been discussing in this thread.
Right-click the device.
A menu will appear that offers the following options:
Update driver
Disable Device
Uninstall Device
Scan for hardweare changes
select uninstall device, and confirm that you want to unistall it. Don't let the warning scare you.
Now exit the Device Manager and restart the notebook.
Invoke the device manager again.
Once that is done right-click anyware in the Device Manager.
Now select the scan for hardware changes option in the menu that appears.
Windows should reinstall the devices with the appropriate drivers.

This is the basic procedure I did.
Uninstall and scan, but automatically take the same driver with same problems.
Probably try device manager to uninstall the device, that try to uninstall the relative driver.
Last try to make scan.
I'm not sure how to uninstall the driver… how and where

Take a look at my previous post.
I edited it to make it easier for you to understand how to uninstall a device.
I hope my explanation is helpful to you.
