Hello, i need some help regarding the keyboard backlight. Product name - 15s-du0023tx
Ok. It seems that i cant turn the keyboard backlight on or off. When i press F5, it just refresh. And the other function key - Enable wireless, Airplane mode, Decrease screen brightness, etc work just fine. I dont even need to press Fn key to use them. But it seems that i cannot use the keyboard backlight feature though or is it just me missing something as i thought that mine can use it after checking the specifications.
Btw, all other Function keys have icons/images printed on them, and can perform actual features for the hardware and software (e.g: brightness, volume, flight mode etc etc) but this F5 key is the only one that has no icon printed on it and aside from not performing a task like the others, it just doesn't do anything at all except refresh.
I have used the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility --> component test --> keyboard to verify that it is operating properly. The result is all good.

@HazeXD Here's something you should know about the laptop:
NOTE:Not all HP notebooks have a backlit keyboard. To confirm whether your notebook has a backlit keyboard, go to the HP Customer Support page. Search for your notebook model plus the word specifications. Review the product specifications for your notebook model. To find your notebook model, go to How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number for more information.
If you have a gaming notebook such as an HP OMEN, go to HP OMEN Command Center for more information about the backlit keyboard and other features.
If your notebook computer has a backlit keyboard, press the F5 or F4 (some models) key on the keyboard to turn the light on or off. It might be necessary to press the fn (function) key at the same time.
If the backlight icon
is not on the F5 key, look for the backlit keyboard key on the row of function keys.

If the above doesn't work, it's quite possible that your laptop does not have a back-light installed to begin with:
Use this link to confirm: Full-sized, textured, island-style keyboard with numeric keypad
Full-sized, 2-coat paint, no backlight, island-style keyboard with numeric keypad
