Hi,

As @asmita6658 says, the keyboard comes without backlight.

However you could in theory upgrade to a backlit keyboard, however it will be a really expensive upgrade as the keyboard comes as one part with top cover and you would need to completely disassemble the PC and rebuild in the new top cover.

On page 68 of service manual you can see the various top covers/keyboard with part number and country code. So, for example lets say you need the keyboard for US.

Top cover/keyboard for use in ghost white models with 8250U/8550U processors with a backlight  part number L21412-xxx

United States   -001

So the part number is  L21412-001

It is not available yet in the HP parts store:

https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/Search_Results.aspx?mscssid=50F86C590C7445FDA195A5D3BAB16B2A&SearchIn=P...

So you will need to wait until it becomes available or try finding online. Next you will need to read nearly the complete service manual as you will need to remove all. I would estimate the cost for the part to be about 150$ and if you get done by a technician you will need to add another 100$ or so.

Hope it helps,

David

Don't worry, I'm here to help!

HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0048ur has a Full-size island-style keyboard with numeric keypad and it is not a backlit keyboard.

Here's the product specs page link.

This PC cannot be upgraded to a backlit keyboard either.

For more information, you may refer to page# 3 of the Service Guide.
