HP Pavilion 15-eh0090wm Win 10, HP Test ran all good. Obvious hardware issue with keyboard.
FYI Ever since new about3 yrs ago resting palms on computer or flex of house, unwanted inputs resulted without touching keyboard or touchpad. I learned to live with it.
However now the keyboard is failing, the letters "E" was first to go, intermittent, takes several tries. Now "D" is going as well. I need to replace the keyboard I assume.
- Is there an easier fix to try first? (pop key off and clean?)
- WHAT is the proper part number? (I see them at all prices, best source?)
- It looks like DIY is possible? (watching videos none of them quite match, few require melting plastic, can do but...)
Extraneous Info: My work around is dusting off bluetooth keyboard and seeing if I can get that to work. Right now E and D are working? Sometimes the letters are dead dead dead. I have the computer on my lap right now, verses flat on table. Again case flex may be an issue as I mentioned above in the beginning, This HP has always done some weird things when case is flexed with hands on palm rest or moving it. It has been a great laptop I otherwise, and use it as my daily driver.

Please use a can of compressed air to blow underneath the area first. Popping key off and clean, you may not be able to put them back.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
