the keyboard keys mentioned above do not work. they only work when you continuously press them again and again for 4 to 5 minutes. this problem has been there for around 2 months. please tell any solution to this.

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
I have gone through your post and I understand your concerns
I suggest you run a Keyboard Test to confirm the Hardware Functionality
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Keyboard
Keep me posted about the outcome of the test
Thank you and have a good day 😊

Welcome back to HP Forums
Did you run the Keyboard Test to confirm the Hardware functionality?
Let's uninstall the Keyboard driver and check for updates
- Select the Start button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
- Look for Keyboard and expand the List
- Look for Keyboard driver then right-click it, and select Update Driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver: Open Device Manager, right-click the Keyboard driver and select Uninstall. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
Next download the BIOS from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15g-br000-laptop-pc/15551414/model/17461969
Also ensure Windows is up to date
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend 😊

The solution which you gave did not work. The keys are still not working.
I could not run keyboard test as esc key was not working, except that i did everything which was told in the solution above includind uninstalling keyboard, downloading BIOS and then updating windows. But unfortunately no change occurred in the functioning of keys.
Please suggest some other method.

It looks like you were interacting with @KrazyToad, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out.
We can run a hardware diagnostics from Windows, please use the steps available in this document and run a Keyboard diagnostics.
Let me know the test results.
