@chris1332, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Accidental Enablement of “Keyboard Shortcuts”

Check for a Gaming Mode toggle: OMEN devices often come with a special "Gaming Mode" or "Macro Mode" that's intended to adjust keyboard functions. Look for any hotkeys that might have been accidentally pressed.

Disable Gaming Mode if it’s on.

Check the OMEN Command Center or any other software that might manage key remapping and lighting.

Keyboard Layout Settings

Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language.

Check that you are using the correct language and layout (e.g., US QWERTY).

If you’re using Windows 10/11, you can also press Windows + Spacebar to cycle between different keyboard layouts.

Driver Conflict

Go to Device Manager (type it in the Start Menu).

Find Keyboards and right-click on your keyboard, then select Update Driver.

If updating doesn’t work, right-click and select Uninstall Device, then restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the default drivers.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
