Hi everyone,

My name is Vladimir and I use a HP Pavilion 15-n004eu. I hae a laptop problem last night.  The key light indicating the on / off sound does not work.  I don`t know what can I do. Has  anyone had a similar problem? What to do? Thank you!

Otherwise, all the keys work normally...

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Pavilion 15-n004eu Notebook. I read that the key light indicating the sound to be on/off is not working. Other keys seem to be fine. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Even though the light is not working, is the key able to turn off and on the sound?
  • What was the initial problem that happened on the laptop?

Meanwhile, please check the below image and let me know if you're referring to the below key light:

I suggest you to uninstall the keyboard drivers by following the below steps:

Device Manager

  • Expand keyboards. Right click on the keyboard drivers and select uninstall.
  • Close the device manager.
  • Restart the laptop. While restarting, Windows will automatically reinstall the keyboard drivers.

I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Feel free to let me know how it goes. Good luck! 🙂
