Does the same problem occur when you go into the BIOS setup or try running the UEFI diagnostics?
Does the same problem occur with a USB external keyboard?
If the problem only occurs in windows then you possibly have a virus or some file corruption or both
Scan for "Malicious" software. Generally speaking this is software that is not considered a virus or trojan. It performs unwanted functions such as downloading newer advertisements or reporting what the users is looking to buy and offering alternative suggestions. Typically free games have these apps.
Type MRT in the windows search bar.

Hi,
thanks for the support,
problem doesn’t occur whilst running bios step up and doesn’t occur when using external keyboard.
am currently running the MRT now ongoing…
this laptop doesn’t have anything but just WD PASSPORT app which I have now uninstalled and some heavy files word and pdfs. Which are under scanning now.
i shall revert to you once the scanning is completed 🙏

Hi,
just found the option after hell lot of search and not to give up attitude.
it was simple , just get into
accessibility option in the windows search bar and select
Filter Keys and just disable this option and it’ works fine.

Thank you for posting that information. I have never used filter keys and had no idea this would happen.
This is what I show on my win11 desktop system
What setting did you have that caused the problem? Do you now have the same settings as above?
I am guessing a possibly problem: If "Beep" was enabled and there was a problem with sound that caused a timeout, then that might account for a delay every time a key was pressed. This is just a guess as I have no idea why a 5 second delay would occur when typing.
