HP Stream Notebook PC 11

I’ve been unable to fix the keyboard on my PC laptop (microsoft os). It will work for a short period of time before most of the keys stop working while others become mismatched. The onscreen keyboard suffers the same problems. I’ve tried everything I could find on the internet such as updating the keyboard, uninstalling the keyboard, downloading another keyboard driver from the hp support site, reseting the pc, updating pc, running text services framework, turning on and off user filter keys, holding the power down for more than 60 sec while unplugged, yet the problem is only deteriorating. Would like to know of a fix soon or I’ll have to buy a new laptop asap

@Usernumberseven, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

Have you tried using an external keyboard and check if the issue persists?

Also, let us run a hardware test on the keyboard

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  3. Perform Components Test > Keyboard. Share the result on your next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
