Keyboard not working. Fan very loud and constantly on

My notebook keyboard isn't working(except for the power button) and the fan is on continuously and is super loud. It just happened randomly. I updated the hp firmware/bios earlier

Something went wrong with the bios update. Was there a reason that you updated the bios? Was there a problem with the computer?  Did you run the UEFI diagnostics (F2) before the bios update?

Do 1, 2, and the first part of 3.
For the second part of 3 you will need a USB flash drive and possibly an
older BIOS if the recent BIOS caused the problem. Make sure the USB flash had LED lights.

For laptops, step 2 'CMOS reset' there is no CMOS battery nor CMOS switch and no need to open the laptop. Use the Windows key + 'v' as explained here.

To install from USB.
When you power up your system the LEDs on the flash drive should flash once at the instant power is applied. They will then flash about three to five seconds later (hopefully). When they flash a second time that means the files are being read from the flash drive. If you never see it flash a second time then the boot loader is damaged and you cannot recover the bios unless you use a programming tool or replace the chip. You hold down the Windows key + B key when powering up with the USB flash inserted.

For the second part of step 3, go to the below site and pick a bios from the revision history.  The last BIOS that was actually useful (IMHO) was F27

If you are unable to restore the backup bios then try installing F27
