Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just received this new laptop approximately two months ago. Today, it will only type z's anywhere I try to type someone both on the computer and online.  I did a trouble shoot on the keyboard and it found nothing. I've tried to push the fn button,  but nothing is working.  I've tried to restart and it didn't help.

Can anyone help me??

Hi,

do you have the same issue with an external (USB) Keyboard?

Did you have a driver update via the Windows Update recently (e.g. HP Development Company, L.P. - Extension - 8.10.14.1) .

I'm having a similar issue with my built-in notebook keyboard and I'm suspecting a driver issue (posted about it in this forum today).

I'm interested If you had a driver update recently as well.

Kind regards

Thomas

I had the same issue and updates weren't working. I "uninstalled" the keyboard driver entirely using the steps I found in Option 1 of this site. After shutting down completely and restarted, it was fixed.
