HP-a7-ar050wm. I'm adding RAM and a SSD (in optical caddy). Is there a video on keyboard replacement for this model.
I have a few keys with surface damage and I'd replace the keyboard while I have the unit open, if possible.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are planning to replace the keyboard on the computer and want to know whether there is any video for the keyboard replacement.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
There is no video or document available for keyboard removal. However, there is a service guide for your computer which will give you a fair idea on how to remove the keyboard.
Below is the service guide for your computer. (Refer to page 24 onwards)

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi Fossette,
Thanks for your suggestion, but (alas), the repair guide stops at the fan -- it doesn't get down to the keyboard. There are some youtubes, but of different models. It's not yet an emergency for me -- the **bleep** fool who keeps dropping cigar ash on the keytops hasn't yet disabled anything. But, this laptop is the best I've ever owned and I'd like to keep it as long as I can. So, if you can dig up some more replacement information, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Bigmac-CT

That's all the information I can get about the keyboard replacement. You need to research online for more information. However, the keyboard on your computer is not user replaceable and it has to be done by a tech.
Cheers!
