Hello Sir/Ma'am, it's been a long since I'm facing this issue but today it just crossed all limits actually my keyboard doesn't work whenever I restart my laptop, and then when I shut down and bootup it again the keyboard works fine but not only this my touchpad was working fine but since this issue has started my touchpad has stopped working.
It's a request that kindly helps me out with this frustrating issue.
The last thing just wanted is a suggestion should I upgrade to Windows 10 if I have a 4Gb DDR3L Ram and 1Ghz processor.
Thank you!

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.
I see that you are facing keyboard and touchpad related issues on your system. Do not worry we are here to help you fix the issue.
May I know from when are you facing this issue?
What happens when you use an external keyboard?
May I know if you have made any decent hardware or software related changes to your system?
May I know if it happens only while using any particular application on your system?

I would also suggest you follow the steps shared in the link below and let me know the outcome of it: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_2025980-1553267-16
I would suggest you hold on to the Windows Update for now once the issue is resolved maybe then we can try it.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello, sir I will try to answer all your questions.
1 - I'm facing this issue only when I restart the laptop, I mean when it requires just like when we update our pc it goes for the restart, so my laptop keyboard doesn't work, but sir, it works for a while in a startup you can see video for reference below.
2 - Sir, whenever I restart my laptop, my laptop keyboard doesn't work, so I have to connect an external keyboard that works when my laptop keyboard is not working.
3- Yes, sir, I did a hardware change as my RAM got blown up, so I replaced it with a new one.
4 - No, sir, there is no particular application, the problem only occurs whenever I restart my laptop.

Hey sir, sorry for the delay in replay actually I was very frustrated cuz now my laptop keyboard not working at all, your preivious solution doesn't even work and not all that preiviously when I used to face this issue I was able to solve it by turning of my pc and then turning it on again which used to solve the issue temporary but now I'm not able to use my laptop keyboard even after doing my trick... don't know what to do.

Thanks for your response.
I am really sorry that you are facing this issue. I am here to help you with it.
Could you please use an external keyboard and boot your system into safe mode? Once you are in the safe mode, try using your internal keyboard and check if the issue persists?
Let me know the outcome of it.
Thanks.

Sir, now it is working fine, I don't know what's wrong with my laptop, I would like to tell you about my experience sir and that is ki whenever I restart my laptop, the internal keyboard doesn't work but when I connect external it works... To solve this issue, I used to shut down my laptop and then turn it on again and by doing this I'm able to use my internal keyboard... In short, I face this problem whenever I restart my laptop or on some random days... But I don't face this issue when I shut down my laptop properly and turn it on again whenever it requires... Hope sir you can understand the words or the issue I'm trying to convey. Sir if you can help me with this then it will be a gr8 help for me.
Thank you
