Hi @dhawanrajat,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your caps lock key on your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop isn't functioning correctly after a recent update, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Restart your laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve software glitches or issues caused by recent updates.
  • Check for driver updates: Make sure all your device drivers, especially the keyboard driver, are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager in Windows.
  • Keyboard settings: Check your keyboard settings in the Control Panel or Settings app. Ensure that the Caps Lock function is enabled and properly configured.
  • Test in safe mode: Boot your laptop into Safe Mode and check if the Caps Lock key works properly there. If it does, it could indicate that a third-party software or driver is causing the issue.
  • System Restore: If the issue started after a recent update, you can try rolling back your system to a restore point before the update was installed.

Remember to back up your important files before attempting any major system changes or updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
