Hello I really need your help! I have had this laptop for several years but the screen was completely broken and there was a big line at the middle of the screen, I was told that screen needs to be completely replace but the replacement for it was pretty expensive. I decided to purchase an external screen to connect it and get removed the laptop's screen since it was not longer working. Now, the new screen does not show the BIOS screen when it starts loadings. It goes black, no BIOS logo and then, it shows windows screen. Would you please advise what should I do to be able to see the BIOS logo from m

Hi @SrMarinero,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP laptop is not showing the BIOS screen when you turn it on, there are several possible reasons why this might be happening.
- Hardware issue: It's possible that there is a hardware issue preventing the BIOS from loading. This could be anything from a faulty motherboard to a problem with the RAM or hard drive.
- Display issue: There may be an issue with the display or the cable connecting the display to the motherboard. This could prevent the BIOS screen from appearing.
- Power issue: If your laptop isn't getting enough power, it may not be able to load the BIOS properly. This could be caused by a faulty power adapter or battery.
- BIOS settings: It's possible that the BIOS settings have been changed or corrupted, preventing the screen from appearing. This could happen if you recently updated the BIOS or made changes to the settings.
Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Power cycle your laptop: Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Reconnect the power adapter and try turning on your laptop again.
- Check the display: Connect your laptop to an external monitor and see if the BIOS screen appears. If it does, then the issue may be with your laptop's display.
- Check the power supply: Try a different power adapter and/or battery to see if the issue is resolved.
- Reset the BIOS settings: You can try resetting the BIOS settings to their default values. To do this, you will need to access the BIOS setup utility. Consult your laptop's user manual or HP's website for instructions on how to access the BIOS.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
