I am trying to source an LCD back cover to repair an HP Envy x360 convertible laptop (13-BD0508NA) that suffered a left hinge failure and cracked the LCD screen too for good measure. I can find plenty of spare parts online but they are all pale gold (M15276-001) and not silver (M82691-001). The only silver back covers available seem to be for the OLED display (M82692-001) but these have a different mounting design for the hinge screws (diagonal and not horizontal). To add to my confusion when I look at the HP maintenance manual it says the correct part number is M15276-001 which is the pale gold cover even though I have a silver laptop!
I can't believe the silver LCD cover was never available as a spare part but perhaps they are hard to source because of the high number of hinge failures suffered by these laptops?
If I can't find one it looks like I only have two options:
1) Fit a pale gold LCD cover and have a two-tone laptop.
2) Try to fit my replacement LCD screen into an silver OLED cover and source a pair of new hinges and screws.
I'm hoping somebody in the community has faced a similar issue and knows the solution. Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.

Hello
I just thought I'd post an update in case it helps anybody else struggling with the same problem. I finally managed to source a brand new LCD top lid from Impact Computers in USA. The item arrived today and I'm happy to confirm it had the correct hinge design. I also ordered a screw kit from the same company to replace the damaged hinge screws. The total cost including shipping to the UK was around £105 which wasn't that much higher than the prices on E-Bay for used OLED top lids which were all in the £90-100+ range.
Cheers

You can order the silver back cover from Germany.
https://www.sparepartworld.com/laptop-spare-parts/displaycover/displaycover-m82691-001-86416576
If you will provide the SKU (HP Product number) I can search further.
When logged into Windows, hold down the Windows key and tap the R key once.
That will open the Windows run dialogue
Type in msinfo32 and press enter.
The ninth line has the SKU/HP product number. Kindly post it in your next reply in your thread.
The System SKU/Product ID will enable us to determine the hardware configuration of your notebook.

Thanks for the reply Erico. The laptop is already in pieces so I can't run anything under Windows. However, the product ID on the back panel is 519K8EA#ABU if that's any help? The link you provided doesn't have a picture which slightly concerns me as I've already come across quite a few listings that claim to be M82691-001 but on closer inspection are for the OLED display with the diagonal hinge screws. I think I'll contact the supplier for a confirmation before I order anything.
Cheers

Here is a source at eBay.co.uk. This is a new on the search I did.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=HP+M82691-001&_sacat=0
The good thing about eBay is that you are guaranteed to get what you ordered and the seller promised or your money back.

Hi Erico
I did a trawl through E-Bay at the weekend but I couldn't find what I wanted. I could only find sellers offering silver top lids for the OLED display or gold top lids for the LCD display. For example if you compare the pictures for these two listings:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404607535901 - silver OLED display lid, diagonally offset hinges (M82692-001)
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165926999729 - gold LCD display lid, horizontal hinges (M15276-001)
I need a silver version of the second item. Many of the sellers I checked are using part numbers M82691-001 and M82692-001 for their listings but are selling the OLED display lid and not the LCD display lid.
Cheers
