Can we get a picture maybe? There is nothing liquid inside a laptop.

I cleaned it up, but it was a clear liquid. Nothing spilled on it. it was being used 10 minutes before. Now, it's dead. no screen. Plenty of other HP user reports of this on the web. I bought it in April, but HP says the warranty was up on NOV. 22 2020.  That's less than a year!

Numerous reports of this so I am not going to be a denier, but have seen no good explanation what the liquid is or where it comes from. You can challenge a short warranty with proof of original purchase date.

*You can challenge a short warranty with proof of original purchase date* How do I do this?  There are no LIVE people to speak with.

I have no idea about where it comes from or why. But the computer is dead now, and that is sad.

Thanks for your help. I'm disputing the warranty. Hopefully, they will honor it. I'm pretty disappointed.  I bought an HP rather than an asus or acer and now I'm wondering, why?  If the build quality is such that it self destructs within a year, I could have bought any brand.  Just, disappointing.

Here is something you don't know or understand. "Brands" are a smokescreen. Laptops sold in USA are all made at the same factories in the Far East using the same components made by the same suppliers. Any problem you have with an "HP" you could also have with any other brand. Particularly if you buy at the very bottom price point.
