my 2 year old hp envy 13-ab067cl wont charge. It just flashed white 3 times when i try to switch it on. There is no amber light when i plug it in.Have tried switching out the power code with an hp stream power cord but kept my ac adapter and the laptop wont charge. I havent dropped it and the ac adapter plug and laptop charger dont show any damage of signs of wear except a small strange dent on the large rectangular block of the ac adapter. It has always been running perfectly..but suddenly stopped charging. What do I do, should I get a new charger?

Hi
Yes a good first step, the only other thing would be RAM.
Your description does not match the error codes listed below.
Prior to 2015, this is what matches...
LED blinks 3 times | Memory | RAM Module failure. | 1. Reseat the memory. NB:- See the Services Media Library for steps for your PC. 2. Check each individual memory module and swap slots. 3. Replace the memory modules causing three blinks or if the blinks follow the slots. 4. Replace the Main-Board. |

Thank you for replying. My PC was actually made in 2017, so i dont know if that blink code apply to me. Also, I'm not a techy person, so i dont understand how my RAM modules could be spoilt nor do i understand how to fix it. Before it shut down i was trying to look up touchpad gestures and i followed the direcrions on an hp forum to unistall the touch pad driver and restart the laptop. I did and updated the drivers and then the laptop configured some settings while unplugged running on battery. I dont know if this info is relevant. Thanks.

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.
Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.
Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat
NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).
