Product: HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6 Notebook PC IDS Base Model
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have bought the wwan module for the Elitebook 1040 x360 g6, I installed it and found there are antenna cables ready. The nano sim slot has a dummy cap that I removed but it doesn’t seem to be a sim tray. How can I proceed with the upgrade? Why are there antenna wires if this can’t be done?

Unfortunately you need many things more than just a SIM tray as mentioned on page 24 of the following manual

 

             http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06413235.pdf

 

Because that is an option which is NOT on your machine as mentioned on page 2 (item (6)).
