Hello,
I have an HP laptop (G255 G8) and all by itself it works without problem.
I bought an i-tec docking station (https://i-tec.pro/en/produkt/u3hdmidvidock-2/ to be able to connect my peripherals (keyboard/mouse...) and two external monitors.
The monitors are both the same, namely: BenQ GW2480T
When the two monitors are connected, the laptop screen is not used, and the cover is closed. The big problem is that as soon as the external screens are connected, there are sometimes big lags, even web pages load slower than when using the laptop alone...I don't understand.
Is it a possibility that the laptop is not powerful enough to support two external screens, or something else? Do you have any idea what the problem is?
During use, the CPU and RAM were running at around 70%.
The computer usage is just Chrome + Excel files.
Thanks in advance for your help
Sincerely
Yann

It would also help if you listed the cpu it came with. Specifications for that model say:
AMD Athlon Silver with Radeon Graphics up to Ryzen 5 3500U APU with Radeon Vega 8 graphics. Hopefully it's the ryzen 5 with the better gpu. I have a ryzen 7 cpu with Vega 8 graphics, it really lagged until I installed 32GB of memory, then the gpu could use what it needed.

I can't double-check right now because I'm not where the PC is. But according to the datasheet where I bought the PC, it seems to be the AMD Athlon Gold 3150U.
Is this one too slow and can't handle 2 externals monitors ? I even tried with only one external monitor and same problem. If the problem is there, is it possible to upgrade or I need to change de PC ?
Thank you
