At this point I've reset my computer twice; one of the times I did a fresh reinstall of Windows off of a flash drive—to no avail. My GPU seems to be COMPLETELY undetected by my system, following a system crash while I was installing new Nvidia drivers. I've already tried DDU, and that isn't helping. I can't even install new Nvidia drivers because it doesn't detect my hardware (and thus halts the installation). I've tried Snappy Driver Installer, and I'm up to date on my Windows Updates. I believe this is a PCIE problem but I don't know. Also, I only see my integrated graphics and "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter," which is my Nvidia laptop 4060, in my Display Adapter tab within Device Manager. The Basic Display Adapter is showing up as "unable to start," and whenever I uninstall that and restart my PC, it shows up again. I believe it may have a corrupted Bios or something, since this all happened after my computer crashed in the middle of installing nvidia drivers and possibly bios.

@JustaJohn, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Enter BIOS and Check Graphics Settings
Turn off your laptop.
Turn it on and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS Setup.
In BIOS:
Look for options like “Switchable Graphics,” “Hybrid Graphics,” or “UMA”.
Make sure Hybrid Graphics or Discrete Graphics is enabled.
Do not select UMA mode (that disables the NVIDIA GPU).
Save and exit (F10 to save).
Perform a Reset
Turn off the laptop.
Unplug the power adapter.
Hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Wait 1 minute.
Plug the power back in and turn on the laptop.
Run HP BIOS Recovery
If BIOS is corrupted from the crash:
Turn off the laptop.
Hold Windows + B, then press and hold Power for ~5–10 seconds.
Release both keys when you see the HP BIOS Recovery screen.
Follow the on-screen steps to restore the BIOS.
Update BIOS from HP
Go to: Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support
Enter your model:
HP ENVY 16-h1000 or 754F7AV
Download the latest BIOS update (.exe).
Run it from Windows and follow prompts to update the BIOS.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
Turn on the laptop and immediately press Esc repeatedly.
On the Startup Menu, press F2 to enter HP Diagnostics.
Run the full system test, especially graphics tests.
If the NVIDIA GPU is not listed, it may not be detected at the hardware level.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
