Product: Envy Notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been an HP customer for many years (after getting rid of my Gateway YEARS ago). I have noticed that the original HP batteries do not retain a charge for any amount of time. Why is the notebook so reliable but not the batteries? I follow the user guides and cannot get more than an hour or so from the batteries (even after only having the notebook for less  than 8 months). Please advise. Thank you.

What laptop or laptops are we talking about here? Can you provide a model or product number?
