HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-f0000 (39R25AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I recently upgraded from an Envy x360 15.4" purchased roughly 3 and a half years ago to a new Spectre x360 16".

I work both from home and from my office, so it would be useful to have two chargers. Previously I managed with one and just took it about with me... My question is, am I able to use the old charger from my Envy laptop on the new Spectre without it causing any level of damage to the new laptop? The chargers do appear slightly different but for all I know that is just a change in the design over the last 3 years or so.

I am happy to pay for a new charger (reluctantly) if the old one is likely to do harm, but naturally I do not want to waste any money at the same time.

Any advice much appreciated - Nathan

@NBaxter

You can turn them up-side-down to get their part numbers and check to see can they work or not. Wattage rating of them is the first start. I don't know your machines therefore I can't say anything more.

Regards.
