Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi there,

I bought a refurbished laptop a few years ago and recently had to replace the battery. I got a replacement/non-HP battery and my laptop won't switch on now. It turns out that the original charger I received my laptop with was a non-HP one and HP don't make the same size pins anymore, so I have to get a charger + an adapter (for the pin that goes into the laptop). Is there anywhere I can get an original HP bigger-pin charger from?

Many thanks,

P.S. Not sure if the OS is MS Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit.

There are 2 chargers  (90W and 65W) for your machine

AC adapters
90W AC adapter part # 463955-001
90W AC adapter for use in India part # 535593-001
65W AC adapter part # 463958-001
65W AC adapter for use in India part # 577170-001

I normally use 90W and only use 65W for traveling because it is smaller and lighter.

I don't think HP still stocks old parts. Please try

Thank you so much for your prompt reply - greatly appreciated!

I was able to find only the 65W one - will that work fine for normal/home use?

Many thanks,

V.

Since the series has many options/models/products. Does your machine have MXM video card ? If NO, 65W is ok

Not sure what an MXM video card is - I'm not much of an IT person... It does have a CD/DVD slot, though 😄

Thanks a million,

V.
