Specifications of laptop: HP Pavilion 14-ce3007ne (not the gaming laptop)
CPU: i51035G1 (Base Speed: 1.19ghz) (Max speed: 3.6ghz)
GPU: Geforce MX130
RAM: 8GB DDR4 2667MHz
Problem: In november 2022 I used to play gta online and minecraft alot and there was no issue with fps or anything at all, if there was low fps that would be the problem of specifications. I stopped playing those games in november ending because I got busy. Now when I try to play gta online or minecraft, the fps is horrible or unplayable. The fps is 29-40 in both games. I installed msi afterburner because I like to see the statistics of my hardware. I noticed that the cpu is locked at 1091 MHz and doesnt go above it no matter what. Keep in mind this was not the case in november because I the cpu ghz would reach till 3.6 and the gameplay would be decent enough to play. But now its not like that. The cpu speed is stuck at 1.08ghz (what it shows me in task manager) even when I open steam my laptop goes to 91% usage but stuck at 1.08 ghz.
Before you say I dont meet requirements of gta 5, I do meet the requirements of minecraft and the same issue persists. Even if thats the case, In november 2022 I was able to play gta online with 60 or more fps
Things that I tried: I went to yt and saw a yt vid and it said go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\intelppm and set start to 1 (mine was at 3). But it didnt work.
Second thing that I tried was to go to system configuration>boot>advanced options>Checked the box of no. of processors and set it to 8. Didnt touch anything else. If power plan matters then I set Hard disk> turn off hard disk after 0 minutes on both. Intel graphics (r) power plan set to balanced on battery and plugged in. Minimum processor state on battery: 5% Minimum processor state when plugged in: 95%
Maximum processor state on battery: 95%
Maximum processor state when plugged in: 95%
(setting these to 100% gave my laptop stutters but on 95% it works perfect)
I am unable to type below the photos but I saw a comment that said if changing to 1 doesnt work then change it to 4 and now my laptop ghz is locked to 1.19 ghz before it was 1.08 ghz. But the problem still continues. Please help me with this. (uploaded screenshots as well)
Also theres a new option for me. I am uploading screenshots aswell for information.
