Hi:
I suggest you go back and reinstall W10, because there are no W7 drivers for the graphics, or USB
There are W7 drivers for the wifi, but after you install them the wifi probably won't work anyway because for some reason, the wifi is turned off in W7 and only works in W10.

Ethernet:

You can try this USB 3 driver and maybe it also works on the USB 3.1 ports.

Those would be the only W7 drivers available which will not make W7 very useful or enjoyable.

The Laptop I bought did not come with installation disks.
I have wiped the drive completely thinking that I could find 64bit drivers for windows 7 or that HP would support that platform since they allow this newer machine to run the older operating systems.
Getting these into that machine will be a problem. Hopefully they do work
Thank your for your time.

You're very welcome.
HP provides a utility to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use that utility...you will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media with.

I checked the cloud recovery tool database, and your notebook is supported...

Hi:
The Intel processor specs for the Celeron N4000 indicates the max memory supported is 8 GB.
Intel Celeron Processor N4000 4M Cache up to 2.60 GHz Product Specifications
So, it would be a high stakes gamble to try a 16 GB memory chip in the slot.
You can do this to see if it is even worth the gamble...
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter. There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

I think I see what you mean.
I'm understanding that the processor itself could address 4 TB of Ram however it's limited by the board or the bios or both.
Is there someone you know who understands that model or has one to drop a 32GB SDRAM 2666 or 2400 into it to check?
