HP Envy DV7300
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello

I have a HP Envy DV7300 laptop which i installed a 2TB SSD once and faced an issue which i was able to solve.

Now there is no issue but i would like to upgrade the SSD to an 8TB one but not sure if the laptop will read such capacity or not.

I don't know if there is a tool that can ensure that the Laptop can withstand such capacity but hopefully someone of you can help.

Thank you

The generally recommended limit of SSD storage capacity that is supported  by the BIOS and  other firmware of a laptop is 2TB.

The laptop you are looking at putting one into has a processor  installed that is from 2012.

That decreases the chances of an 8TB SSD working or even being recognized by the BIOS.
